Recent Feature Highlights – PIAM Suite
We are excited to announce the latest new features of our Physical Identity & Access Management (PIAM) Suite.
These features help you to make the identification and authentication processes within your organisation even smarter. The most important enhancements are:
Improved Visibility & Control of Access Permissions
Administrators can now directly view and manage access permissions across their organisation, without relying on indirect roles such as line manager or security coordinator assignments. Previously, access visibility and revocation capabilities were tied to specific roles or organisational relationships. This meant administrators often lacked direct operational control.
New capabilities include:
- Viewing of all access permissions assigned to a person
- Revoking access where appropriate
- Supporting controlled delegation scenarios
Example use case: A facility manager can quickly review and revoke access for an employee who changes role or leaves the organisation, without relying on indirect permissions or organisational hierarchy.
This provides:
- Greater transparency
- Faster response to security changes
- Stronger security governance and operational control
Improved Delegation & Authorisation Governance
Delegation and approval permissions are now managed through a central authorisation framework, replacing previously implicit role-based and hierarchy-based logic.
Example use case: When a security manager goes on leave, they can temporarily delegate their approval rights for access requests to a colleague. The system automatically applies the correct permissions for the defined period and removes them again when the delegation ends.
This provides:
- Clear and explicit permission management
- Better transparency and governance
- Reduced configuration ambiguity
A background migration ensures that existing customers benefit from the improvements without disruption.
Improved Identity Search and User Experience
We have enhanced how users search for and view identity information across the platform, with more flexible and use-case-specific configurations.
Key improvements:
- Faster search performance
- Configurable search results and displayed attributes
- Consistent identity display across modules
Users can now tailor what information is shown depending on the context, ensuring the most relevant data is always visible for each use case.
Example use case: An access manager reviewing access requests needs to quickly identify the requester and verify their organisational context. The system can be configured to display key attributes such as department, role, and manager directly in the search results and identity view. This allows the access manager to make faster and more informed decisions without navigating through multiple systems or screens.
Faster and Smarter Visitor Check-in
We have improved the reception check-in experience within our Visitor Management Module by introducing intelligent printer selection and faster badge printing.
Reception staff can now:
- Automatically use a pre-selected printer per site
- Print badges instantly without preview
- Still access preview mode when adjustments are needed
Example use case: During peak hours at reception, staff need to check in multiple visitors quickly. With the new direct print option, badges are printed instantly using the preselected printer, reducing delays and avoiding repetitive printer selection. If needed, staff can still switch to preview mode to adjust settings or select a different printer before printing.
This reduces manual steps, avoids printer selection errors, and significantly speeds up reception workflows, especially in high-volume environments.
